Episode transcript

Gretchen: So, Rachel, as someone who's in it, do you have any burning questions these days?

Rachel: I've got one. It's about bribes versus rewards. I would really love to figure out the difference and understand when I'm allowed to introduce a few bucks into a parenting negotiation.

Gretchen: Oh, such a good question. I'm wondering about that, too.

Rachel: Well, good news is help is on the way.

Gretchen: If you're new here, welcome. "In It" is a podcast for families with kids who learn and think differently.

Rachel: Here you'll find advice, camaraderie, stories of successes, and let's be real, sometimes failures from experts, parents, and caregivers like you.

Gretchen: I'm Gretchen Vierstra, a former classroom teacher and an editor here at Understood.org.

Rachel: And I'm Rachel Bozek, a writer and editor and mom who's definitely been in it.

Gretchen: We've got so many great conversations coming up, from how to manage some of the unanticipated costs of raising neurodivergent kids...

Rachel: To why, contrary to popular belief, science and math can be great confidence boosters for those with learning differences.

Gretchen: Join us for these conversations and more. Follow us wherever you listen to podcasts and on Understood's YouTube channel to make sure you never miss an episode.
