Miriam Nunberg, Esq., EdM, is an attorney, advocate, and education consultant with a wealth of knowledge about education law and policy, civil rights, and special education. She’s also a consultant to the Education Law and Policy Institute at New York Law School, where she provides direction on how to address civil rights issues in schools.

Nunberg was instrumental in integrating the middle schools of Brooklyn’s District 15, which was featured in Episode 5 of the New York Times podcast Nice White Parents. She also launched a green middle school — Brooklyn Urban Garden Charter School — designed to support an inclusive and diverse student body.

Nunberg completed her bachelor’s degree at Brandeis University and a master of education degree at Smith College. She earned her doctor of law (JD) degree from the Cardozo School of Law.
