Kyle Redford is an educator with over 30 years of teaching experience in the classroom. She currently teaches fifth grade and specializes in supporting students with learning and thinking differences, as well as their families.
In addition to her work with Understood, Redford has contributed to many publications and platforms. She is the education editor for the Yale Center for Dyslexia and Creativity as well as serving on their advisory board. She has contributed to the blog, Reaching All Students, for Education Week.
Redford and her family also helped make the HBO film The Big Picture: Rethinking Dyslexia, a documentary widely credited with helping raise awareness about the potential of students with dyslexia who are given the right support. She holds a bachelor of arts degree from the University of Colorado and a master of arts degree from Northwestern University.
