Kristin Kane
Kristin Kane is the mother of three, two of whom have learning and thinking differences. She’s also a family resource coordinator for Virginia’s Parent Educational Advocacy Training Center (PEATC), which helps parents of children with disabilities through education, information, and training. PEATC has certified her as a Parent Collaborative Leader.
As a founding member of Decoding Dyslexia Virginia, Kristin is passionate about raising awareness for dyslexia and learning disabilities. She often collaborates with parents, educators, and schools on parent outreach and education. Her work includes partnerships with the National Center for Learning Disabilities, as well as the International Dyslexia Association.
