Julie Rawe

Julie Rawe is the director of content strategy and accessibility at Understood. She was part of the original team hired to create articles for this powerful resource for parents. She is tremendously proud of her role in launching Understood and helping it grow!

Before joining Understood, Rawe spent 13 years at Time. She started out as a reporter and became a staff writer before serving as a senior editor for five years. In that role, she edited a weekly section as well as features and cover stories for the magazine. She also edited stories and weekly columns for Time.com.

Rawe lives with her husband and two daughters in Washington, DC.
