Analisa L. Smith, EdD, is an education consultant, a distance education professor, and a public school teacher. With over 30 years in education, Smith serves on the South Carolina Learning Disabilities Association board of directors and is co-president of the state affiliate.  

Smith has provided professional development, given lectures and seminars, and worked with individuals and families struggling with high-incidence disabilities, poverty, homelessness, and restricted educational access. Her work and interviews have been featured on SC Public Radio, NPR News, The Point!, Education Matters, DE ViewPoints, and more. As the mother of two children with learning and attention differences, Smith also authored a book, Transition Toolbox, which focuses on transition issues and services for the mildly disabled individual. 

Smith holds a doctorate of education degree in education administration from Nova Southeastern University and a master of education degree from the University of South Carolina. She also has a bachelor of science degree in elementary and special education from Columbia College.
