Michele Gianetti
Nurse and Writer
Michele Gianetti is a school nurse and the mom of three beautiful children. When her middle child was identified with sensory processing issues and dyspraxia, she became an advocate for her, and then later for her son who was identified with executive functioning issues. Gianetti raises awareness for these issues through her website and on social media. She has been a guest speaker in university and nursing school courses focused on special education and occupational therapy.
Gianetti graduated magna cum laude from Youngstown State University with a bachelor’s degree in nursing. She has also has completed numerous postgraduate classes.
She is the author of I Believe in You: A Mother and Daughter’s Special Journey. The title of this book contains the very words Gianetti says to her daughter every day. Her second book, Emily’s Sister: A Family’s Journey With Dyspraxia and Sensory Processing Disorder, was released in 2017.
