Atira Roberson
Hi! My name is Atira Roberson and I’m from Hot Springs, Arkansas. I’m pursuing my master of public administration degree at the University of Texas at San Antonio. I’m a community organizer for the National Center for Learning Disabilities and serve on their Young Adult Leadership Council.
When I’m done with school, I plan on becoming an education program and policy analyst, and I hope to eventually be the U.S. Secretary of Education. Throughout my time in school, I have developed a passion for making our education system the best it can be.
As a person of color with learning and thinking differences (dyslexia, dyscalculia, and mild ADHD), it’s my mission to inspire students who are just like me. It’s important for them, and really for all of us, to be proud of what makes us different — because that’s what makes life fun!
