Ashley Upp, EdD, is a principal at W. Reily Brown Elementary School and has received numerous educational honors throughout her career. She not only was named Teacher of Year at her school, but also in her district.
Upp believes in the power of education to transform lives. She has served as a Delaware Department of Education Equity Fellow, as a school leader on social-emotional learning, and on the Delaware Professional Standards Board Licensure and Certification Criteria Committee. She also has been on the Delaware Department of Education ESSA Advisory Council and is a youth mental health first aid trainer.
Upp earned a bachelor of science degree in elementary education from the University of Delaware. She then earned a master of education degree in educational leadership and administration and a doctor of education degree in educational leadership from Wilmington University.
