Kerri MacKay
Kerri MacKay is a young adult with ADHD and learning differences. As a student at the University of Winnipeg, she struggled with schoolwork. To better understand why, she asked for and received a psycho-educational evaluation. And at 21, her learning and thinking differences were identified. During and after the evaluation, MacKay has openly shared her experiences online: ADHD and learning differences help explain who she is, but they don’t define her.
MacKay received a bachelor’s degree in physical and health education in June 2014. In addition to blogging and being active on social media, she coaches the Manitoba men’s goalball team with Manitoba Blind Sports, as well as youth athletes with Special Olympics Manitoba.
