April Hanrath

April Hanrath is a small-business owner and the mother of two. Her daughter, Jocelyn, won the 2016 Allegra Ford Thomas Scholarship from Understood founding partner NCLD. The scholarship is awarded to a college-bound student with a learning disability. April is an Understood parent advocate who has testified in Congress about dyslexia. She lives in Salt Lake City, Utah.
